Rep. Calvert Statement on Vice President Harris’ Visit to the Inland Empire
Today, Congressman Ken Calvert (CA-42) issued the following statement on Vice President Kamala Harris' visit to the Inland Empire on Friday, January 21st:
"I think it's great that Vice President Harris is visiting the Inland Empire, it's just too bad she's not planning to get a first-hand look at how Californians are suffering under the many crises that have grown worse under the Biden Administration.
It's too bad the Vice President isn't visiting a local gas station to see the record high gas prices Inland Empire families are paying because the Biden Administration has stifled American energy production.
It's too bad the Vice President, who is supposedly leading the Biden Administration's border crisis response, won't be touring the border just a little to our south to talk with our overwhelmed border patrol agents about the out of control human and drug smuggling thanks to the open borders policies of the Biden Administration.
It's too bad the Vice President doesn't fly over the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles to see the backlog of ships that are full of the goods and products that are missing from store shelves across America.
It's too bad the Vice President won't go see the section of Union Pacific train tracks in downtown Los Angeles where on average 90 containers each day are being robbed by criminals who are emboldened thanks to soft-on-crime policies advanced by Democrats.
Inland Empire residents are desperate for solutions to these crises, not more photo ops."
