Rep. Calvert to Continue Serving on House Energy and Water Development Appropriations Subcommittee

January 29, 2019

Today, Congressman Ken Calvert (CA-42) issued the following statement after it was announced that he will continue to serve on the House Energy and Water Development Appropriations Subcommittee:

"I look forward to serving on the Energy and Water Development Subcommittee to help provide solutions that protect Americans from devastating floods and produce reliable water and energy infrastructure. California's water supply depends upon federal investments by the Bureau of Reclamation and Army Corps of Engineers. As a member of this Subcommittee, I will focus on making sure those resources are used to properly manage California's water and flood control infrastructure. The Subcommittee also has a serious responsibility to ensure our nuclear arsenal is properly maintained and protected. I am eager to work with my good friend, Ranking Member Mike Simpson as well as Subcommittee Chairwoman Marcy Kaptur. I also appreciate the support and leadership from Ranking Member Kay Granger."

It was previously announced that Rep. Calvert will serve as the Ranking Member of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee.
