Rep. Calvert Announces $1.7 Million for Murrieta Flood Control Project
Today, Congressman Ken Calvert (CA-42) announced the inclusion of $1.7 million for the Murrieta Creek flood control project in the Fiscal Year 2022 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Work Plan. The funding was provided to the Corps of Engineers in the Fiscal Year 2022 Appropriations bill, which Rep. Calvert voted for earlier this year along with a bipartisan majority of the House of Representatives.
"The Murrieta Creek project will provide significant flood control protection for the cities of Murrieta and Temecula when completed," said Rep. Calvert. "The funding included in the Corps of Engineers' work plan will pave the way for the construction of Phase 2B of project. I have been proud to work collaboratively with the County of Riverside, as well as the cities of Murrieta and Temecula to successfully advocate for this critical funding."
