Chairman Calvert Statement on Marine Corps Audit

Today, Defense Appropriations Subcommittee Chairman Ken Calvert (CA-41) issued the following statement in response to the announcement that for the second straight year, the Marine Corps passed an audit:

“I want to congratulate Marine Corps Commandant General Eric Smith and our Marines for being accountable to American taxpayers. The Marine Corps continues to be a rare bright spot when it comes to fiscal accountability in the Department of Defense. This audit not only strengthens the Marine Corps' ability to plan, budget, and execute missions with precision but also reinforces their commitment to readiness and operational effectiveness. As Chairman of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, I fully expect the other branches of our military to pass a clean audit in the very near future.”
