REP. CALVERT DESIGNATED AS ONE OF THREE APPROPRIATORS TO SERVE ON HOUSE BUDGET COMMITTEE
January 20, 2011
Today it was announced that Rep. Ken Calvert (R-CA) was one of three members of the Appropriations Committee designated by Chairman Rogers (R-KY) to serve on the House Budget Committee.
"I'm honored to take on this important responsibility that provides continuity in the budgeting and spending process by having Appropriators also serve on the Budget Committee," said Rep. Calvert. "I look forward to working with Chairman Ryan who has demonstrated fiscal acumen when addressing very complex budgetary issues. I thank Chairman Rogers for the unique opportunity to serve and bring the Appropriations viewpoint to the budget process. The goals of both committees are the same: return government spending to sustainable levels that will put our country on the path to fiscal solvency."
